Alliance University is a private university established in 2010 in the city of Bangalore, Karnataka. Alliance University has been ranked at 71st position in Management by NIRF for the year 2024. Jain University is a Deemed-to-be University established in 1990 in Bangalore, Karnataka. Jain University offers various UG, PG, Research, and Vocational courses through its 12 Schools and 25 Departments. The university was previously known as Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College (SBMJC). Jain University Bangalore is one of the top universities in India, ranked at 68th position in the University category and 85th in the Management category by NIRF Ranking 2023. NAAC has rated the university as an A++ institute with a CGPA of 3.71 on a four-point scale. Jain University has six faculties namely Commerce, Engineering and Technology, Management, Creative Arts & Design, Humanities & Social Sciences, and Sciences.
Jain University Admission to all the UG and PG courses is based on the Jain Entrance Test (JET) conducted by the university.
VTU (Visvesvaraya Technological University) is a public university established in 1998 in Belgaum, Karnataka. VTU is one of India’s largest technological universities. VTU has also been approved by AICTE & UGC. Visvesvaraya Technological University has 182 affiliated colleges, 1 constituent college, and 25 autonomous colleges. VTU has four regional centres spread across Belagavi, Bengaluru, Kalaburgai, and Mysuru. It was certified with Grade “B++” by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). VTU is ranked 52nd under the “Engineering” category, 95th under the “Management” category and 92nd in the “Overall” category by NIRF 2023.
VTU popular courses are B.Tech with 23 specializations, M.Tech with 57 specializations, and MBA. Admission to B.Tech programs is determined by the scores in KCET/ COMEDK/ JEE Main, whereas admission to M.Tech is determined on the basis of merit in GATE/ PGCET. Besides this, the university conducts a Research Entrance Test based on which admissions are granted to the Ph.D. applicants.
As per the NIRF Report 2024, VTU median package for M.Tech is INR 5.40 LPA. For MBA, the median package is INR 4.50 LPA. Some of the top recruiters of VTU are HCL, Infosys, HDFC Standard Life Insurance, Indiabulls, Wipro, IBM, etc.
Christ University Bangalore is a private university of repute in India, initially established as Christ College in 1969. Christ University was conferred with Autonomy in 2004 and declared as a deemed-to-be university by the UGC in 2008. The university was accredited with an ‘A+’ Grade by NAAC. Christ University’s ranking is 67th in India by the NIRF 2023 rankings. The NIRF also rated Christ University as 13th in Law and 60th in Management. PES University was established in 1972 as the PES Institute of Technology, later renamed in 2013. The university is located in Bangalore, Karnataka and is recognized by UGC and the Government of Karnataka. PES (People’s Education Society) University is a private NAAC-accredited university approved by AICTE. The university is spread over an area of 30 acres. PES University Bangalore offers UG, PG, Executive and Research programs in Engineering, Law, Commerce & Management, Architecture, Design, Science & Humanities, Pharmaceutical Sciences, etc.
PES University is famous for its B.Tech, MBA and medical programs across various specializations. RV College of Engineering Bangalore is a self-financing engineering college managed by the Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust. RVCE is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University and accredited by the NBA. The college is approved by AICTE and the Government of Karnataka. Located 13 km from the heart of Bangalore (also known as the Silicon Valley of India) on Mysore Road. RVCE has ranked 99 in the Engineering category of NIRF Rankings 2024.
Established in 1963, RVCE Bangalore is a private college. RVCE has 15 departments that collectively offer more than 35 courses at UG, PG, and doctoral levels. All these courses are AICTE-approved and are offered across two fields, including Engineering & Technology and Science. Popular courses at RVCE Bangalore include BE/ BTech, MTech, and MCA. RVCE Bangalore admissions are based on merit in COMEDK UGET, JEE Mains, and others for admission to all undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The college was founded by Bhusanayana Mukundadas Sreenivasaiah in 1946 and the BMS Educational Trust is in charge of its administration. BMSCE is accredited by NAAC “A++” Grade and approved by AICTE and UGC. BMSCE is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University.
B.E. is the most sought after program of BMSCE. The institute also offers MBA, M.Tech, MCA, Ph.D. and M.Sc (Engineering by Research) and other programs. Admissions to all the courses offered at BMSCE are done on the basis of various state and national-level entrance tests. These include PGCET, KMAT, MAT, GATE, etc. Additionally, counselling sessions are held by respective exam conducting bodies for seat distribution at BMSCE.
BMS College of Engineering also provides financial assistance to the needy and meritorious students to lessen their academic burden. The college provides its students with private scholarships, government scholarships, and Huawei scholarships.
Ramaiah Institute of Technology is a private institute established in 1962 in Bangalore, Karnataka. Ramaiah Institute of Technology is accredited by NAAC “A+” Grade.
