Jain University is a Deemed-to-be University established in 1990 in Bangalore, Karnataka. Jain University offers various UG, PG, Research, and Vocational courses through its 12 Schools and 25 Departments. The university was previously known as Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College (SBMJC). Jain University Bangalore is one of the top universities in India, ranked at 68th position in the University category and 85th in the Management category by NIRF Ranking 2023. NAAC has rated the university as an A++ institute with a CGPA of 3.71 on a four-point scale. Jain University has six faculties namely Commerce, Engineering and Technology, Management, Creative Arts & Design, Humanities & Social Sciences, and Sciences.

Harsha Institutions is a private educational institute established in the year 2003 under Sri Srinivasa Charitable Trust located in Bangalore, Karnataka. VTU (Visvesvaraya Technological University) is a public university established in 1998 in Belgaum, Karnataka. VTU is one of India’s largest technological universities. VTU has also been approved by AICTE & UGC. Visvesvaraya Technological University has 182 affiliated colleges, 1 constituent college, and 25 autonomous colleges. VTU has four regional centres spread across Belagavi, Bengaluru, Kalaburgai, and Mysuru. It was certified with Grade “B++” by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). VTU is ranked 52nd under the “Engineering” category, 95th under the “Management” category and 92nd in the “Overall” category by NIRF 2023.
VTU popular courses are B.Tech with 23 specializations, M.Tech with 57 specializations, and MBA. Admission to B.Tech programs is determined by the scores in KCET/ COMEDK/ JEE Main, whereas admission to M.Tech is determined on the basis of merit in GATE/ PGCET. Besides this, the university conducts a Research Entrance Test based on which admissions are granted to the Ph.D. applicants.
As per the NIRF Report 2024, VTU median package for M.Tech is INR 5.40 LPA. For MBA, the median package is INR 4.50 LPA. Some of the top recruiters of VTU are HCL, Infosys, HDFC Standard Life Insurance, Indiabulls, Wipro, IBM, etc.
Christ University Bangalore is a private university of repute in India, initially established as Christ College in 1969. Christ University was conferred with Autonomy in 2004 and declared as a deemed-to-be university by the UGC in 2008. The university was accredited with an ‘A+’ Grade by NAAC. Christ University’s ranking is 67th in India by the NIRF 2023 rankings. The NIRF also rated Christ University as 13th in Law and 60th in Management. Christ University usually hosts around 30,000 students across six campuses in Bangalore, Delhi NCR, and Pune. Christ University publishes six peer-reviewed research journals and has published more than 300 books in Kannada and English.
PES University was established in 1972 as the PES Institute of Technology, later renamed in 2013. The university is located in Bangalore, Karnataka and is recognized by UGC and the Government of Karnataka. PES (People’s Education Society) University is a private NAAC-accredited university approved by AICTE. The university is spread over an area of 30 acres. PES University Bangalore offers UG, PG, Executive and Research programs in Engineering, Law, Commerce & Management, Architecture, Design, Science & Humanities, Pharmaceutical Sciences, etc.
PES University is famous for its B.Tech, MBA and medical programs across various specializations. Admission to PES Bangalore is based on PESSAT and other national and state-level examinations like NATA for B.Arch, JEE Mains and KCET for B.Tech, CAT, CMAT, NMAT, ATMA, GMAT, GRE and PGCET for MBA, CLAT and LSAT for law courses, etc. The institute has recently introduced some new courses like M.Sc. T John Institute of Technology is a private engineering college established in the year 2006 with aim to produce quality engineers. It is part of T John Group of institutions. Institute’s vision is to be recognized as among top engineering institutes of the country.
Sambhram Institute of Technology is located in East Bangalore which was established in the year 2001. It is approved by AICTE and accredited by the NBA. The institute is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University. The campus is spread over 10 acres. The institute provides 1 UG course and 3 PG courses in Engineering, Business Management and is ranked among the top Engineering Institutions in Bangalore. Current students that are taken annually for UG and PG programs are around 1200 in number. Entrance exams like GATE, PGCET are accepted at the institute.
