Jain University, officially Jain (Deemed-to-be University), is a Bangalore-based private deemed-to-be university. It began as Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College and was granted the status of deemed-to-be-university in 2009. Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College (SBMJC) was founded in 1990 by Dr. Chenraj Roychand, the founder and chairman of JGI GROUP. In 2009, it was granted designated university status. More than 200 undergraduate and graduate degrees in business, science, humanities and arts, engineering and technology, and management are available at Jain University.It also provides courses in Business Administration, Engineering, and Information Technology for working people.
